Gulyara Aboriginal Corporation was established in 2024, on Bibbulmun Noongar Boodja (Manjimup, Western Australia). Gulyara was created after the original board members met and had a vision for preventing and responding to Family Domestic Violence in the Warren Blackwood Area. Our team is guided by local community, women with lived expertise and feedback from clients.
In Noongar, Gulyara means “all of us together” which is the foundation from which Gulyara has grown.
Our team is currently working on prevention and post-vention by way of community events, community education, and support groups.

To support women and their children to recover and thrive after experiencing Family & Domestic violence.

Gulyara’s moorditj logo was hand drawn by the deadly Kev of Nani Studio – the larger symbol depicts a person sitting, which means the smaller symbol can be interpreted as a koolang (child).
This design was immediately meaningful to our board members, reflecting togetherness and being all together on boodja caring for each other

We respectfully acknowledge the lived experience of victim-survivors, and their journey of healing. We pay homage to women who have lost their lives due to violence.
We pay our respects to the first custodians of the land on which we live – Kaniyang, Bibbulmen, Wardandi and Minang peoples. From the creation of the dreamtime this always was always will be Noongar Boodja. Sovereignty was never ceded.
